I hadnt done any vector work for a little while so i thought i would just have a bit of a play around….
When i have time i will do a new banner for my site for the new site name so i vectored a cartoon monkey and personalized it.

www.chrislesueur.co.uk is up and running, I am working on it over easter but what i have already completed is uploaded.

This is our advert to ‘show off’ the interstices advert, over-all I’m very happy with the idea and feel that the advert does match that of what you see in a magazine or on the Internet. Perhaps if we had more time we could have developed the advertisement further, using video and other forms of advertising to make the digiCard be understood and stand out more.

I have been thinking about our idea for interstices, i think it would be best to take the route of advertising it as a piece of software. We were undecided whether to produce the idea in the form of software or hardware when we originally came up with the it, however, after some thought i came to the conclusion that with the amount of hardware on the market and continuously coming out, it may be hard to break into that.
Taking the software direction would mean that we could advertise to a wider range of consumer, those already with high quality mobiles, a large amount of modern phones are now equipped with GPS and this would allow the software to work to its full capabilities, perhaps on less capable phones the software could provide contact details and an address of companies based on the nearest phone mast.

After a meeting with Daniel we came up with a few ides.
GPS kids, this was an initial idea of helping parents keep track of where their kids are, in affect, a ‘tag’ could be clipped on to the child’s clothing or perhaps in the form of a wrist band or something similar. This would allow the parent to keep check on the where-abouts of their kids. However, it could be used for the wrong reasons for example a parent wouldn’t want other people tracking where their kids are at all times!
Iris ‘eye’ keys, we discussed the possible uses for this technology and found there to be a wide range of possible uses. Sign-ins for work, an employee would therefore have to be in the building and there is no chance of someone else checking them in. Key for home, people could be registered for a particular access scanner and only those people could enter by doing and eye scan.
Mobile phone business card system with bolt in GPS sat navigation.
The mobile phone business card system is similar to the idea of yellow pages. A mobile business directory. The idea is that you would walk around with your mobile device and while your walking around your mobile device is sending and receiving business cards and builds up a categorised business directory. When the user decides they may need to locate a shop or a service provider they will get out their phone and navigate through the directory to locate the nearest to them.
This would then be tied in with the GPS system, which will take the address or post code and perform and search which results in directions to the shop. The software/hardware will also allow users to call or text the business quickly and easily.
I think this idea has a lot of potential to develop, we have to look at whether it would be a piece of hardware or would it be produced as a software add-on that could be downloaded onto a modern phone (with GPS) and the user could have access to the system through that.
Our first thoughts were that the product would best be presented in the form of an advert. This could contain the main features and description of what and how it could benifit the user along with an image of the product.

Me, Orrin and Jason met up and continued on with our mapping project, we mapped out some journeys and created a piece of jewelery for each. These journeys can be worn as an attachment to a chain or necklace.
This journey shows a trip from my house next year, to the shop and uni, followed by the pub.
Orrin’s old school: tutor room to english block to PE on field to art building to tech block
This journey shows my trip from my plymouth flat to my home in Jersey.
After producing the pieces we felt it would be better to display them as more a part of a ‘fashion’ type shoot.
